Telecom Billing Developer

Preferred Candidate Profile

Telecom Billing Developer will be responsible for designing, configuration, customization, testing and optimizing of telecom COTS products mainly for Rating and Billing (RBM) from Net Cracker, Ericsson Billing from Ericsson, BRM from Oracle, Amdocs, Kenan Billing etc. This role involves understanding the customer business requirement from Requirement gathering sessions, solution design document like HLD, LLD and then configure, develop or customize the Billing product as per the customer requirements. Developers should have a clear understanding of Kernal and Non-Kernal features along with high level understanding of Billing Integration with upstream and downstream systems via API. It may also involves providing L2 and L3 support to the leading telecom service provider for all line of Business like Mobile (Voice, SMS, and Data), Fixed Line,IOT, Lease Line, Internet, VAS and other utility services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with an End-to-End understanding of Telecom Domain and in depth understanding of Billing Domain along with Proficiency in Pl/SQL and scripting language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding of Business Requirement related to Telecom Rating and Billing like NRC, RC, Discount, Usage Charge, Billing Cycle Execution, Different of taxes, General Ledger and configuration of different product and services like Data, Voice, SMS, VAS etc.
• Map the business requirement into product features either via Configuration, customization or Non Kernal development i.e. Via Scripts and Code.
• Ensuring smooth running, monitoring and analysis of Rating, Billing applications.
• Participate in customer discussions and workshops.
• PL/SQL code and Scripts to configure and customize the product.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.

Requirements:

• Expertise with hands-on experience in at least one of the Rating and Billing COTS products.
• Ability to write efficiently and maintainable code in PL/SQL along with any scripting Language.
• End-to-End knowledge of telecom domain.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Operation issues related to Rating and Billing product along with bill cycle related issues.
• Ability to provide L2 and L3 support for Rating and Billing customer issues.
• Well versed in Agile ways of working
• Good communication skills and fluency in English. Have strong stakeholder management & engagement skills, effective at all levels
