About the Role

Responsible for creating, modifying, and coordinating structural models using Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit software. Ensure the accuracy and compliance of 3D models and detailed drawings with project specifications, design standards, and client requirements. Perform thorough drawing checks to detect and resolve design discrepancies, clashes, and errors before construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Modeling:

• Examine precise and detailed 3D structural models in Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit based on architectural and structural design inputs.
• Experience in Modular prefab buildings added advantage
• Incorporate structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, walls, connections, and reinforcements into the model.
• Ensure proper layer management, model organization, and maintain a consistent modeling approach as per project standards.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and other design disciplines to maintain accurate and up-to-date models.

Drawing Checking:

• Review and verify drawings generated from Tekla and Revit models for accuracy and completeness.
• Check for alignment with project specifications, structural design codes, and client requirements.
• Detect and resolve modeling and design clashes (e.g., structural vs. MEP coordination).
• Checking the shop drawing and general arrangements drawing with reports.
• Perform model checking and clash deduction, identifying in the early stage of requirement.
• Review fabrication and shop drawings to ensure constructability and correctness.
• Identify and report discrepancies between design drawings and models.

Coordination & Communication:

• Collaborate with design teams, project managers, and site teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical input related to modeling and drawings.
• Provide regular updates and report progress, issues, and resolutions.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of model versions, drawing revisions, and check reports.
• Prepare detailed clash detection reports, design review reports, and model quality assurance documents.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit modeling for structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural detailing and drawing standards.
• Experience in clash detection using tools such as Navisworks or Tekla BIMsight is a plus.
• Familiarity with structural design codes and construction methods.
• Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of fabrication and shop drawing processes.
• Experience working in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling best practices and BIM coordination.
