Summary:The Application Packaging Engineer is responsible for designing, creating, testing, and deploying software packages across enterprise environments. This role ensures consistent and secure application delivery using tools like InstallShield, SCCM, Intune, and PowerShell. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, interact directly with customers, and maintain high standards of documentation and compliance. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimization are essential.________________________________________Roles & Responsibilities:Application Packaging & Lifecycle ManagementCreate and manage application packages using InstallShield, PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit, and other scripting tools.Assess deployment strategies and select optimal methods based on infrastructure and technical constraints.Conduct discovery calls with application owners and coordinate packaging requests.Perform conflict detection, resolution, and integration testing.Deploy packages for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release through change management processes.Maintain SOPs, best practices, and documentation for packaging procedures.Ensure compliance with version control and configuration standards.Deployment & SupportDeploy applications via SCCM and Intune to LAN and remote devices.Provide L2/L3 support for packaging and deployment issues.Troubleshoot failed deployments and proactively resolve incidents.Monitor and report on deployment success and SLA adherence.Support packaging for AVD environments and troubleshoot related issues.Collaboration & OptimizationWork directly with customers to understand infrastructure and requirements.Collaborate with developers, software owners, and support teams to ensure right first time delivery.Recommend and implement improved toolsets and automation strategies.Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams for release defect resolution.________________________________________Professional & Technical
