Summary:We are seeking a Senior Network & Security SRE to design, build, and operate highly reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in network engineering, security operations, and automation, coupled with SRE practices such as observability, reliability engineering, and incident management.The ideal candidate will proactively improve the reliability and security posture of our systems through automation, monitoring, and resilience engineering.
Roles & Responsibilities:- Architect, automate, and maintain enterprise and cloud networking infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, VPN, DNS, CDN, SD-WAN, WAF).- Ensure high availability and performance of network services during business-critical events.- Implement self-healing automation for network incidents and performance degradations.- Collaborate with cloud teams to manage Azure, AWS, or GCP networking components (VPC/VNet, Peering, Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway).- Partner with Security Operations to integrate security controls and monitoring into the SRE framework.- Automate identity, access, and policy enforcement across hybrid environments.- Ensure compliance with security standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, etc.).- Build security guardrails to prevent misconfigurations and enforce best practices.- Define and measure SLIs/SLOs/SLAs for network and security services.- Drive observability by integrating logs, metrics, and traces into monitoring platforms (Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).- Lead incident response for critical network/security events, ensuring root cause analysis and permanent fixes.- Build chaos engineering experiments to validate resilience of network and security systems.- Develop automation workflows with Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for network/security provisioning.- Leverage policy-as-code and compliance-as-code frameworks.- Work closely with Cloud, SRE, Security, and Platform Engineering teams.- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior SREs and engineers.- Participate in on-call rotation with a focus on reducing toil through automation.Professional & Technical Skills:
- 710 years of experience in networking, security, or SRE roles.- Networking TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, VPNs, BGP, SDN.- Cloud Networking Azure VNets, AWS VPC, GCP Networking, hybrid connectivity.- Security WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR, Zero Trust, IAM.- Strong scripting/automation in Python, PowerShell, or Shell.- Hands-on with IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and DevOps tooling.- Experience with observability platforms (Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana).- Proven track record of incident management, reliability engineering, and security compliance.- Exposure to Kubernetes networking and service mesh (Istio, Cilium).- Knowledge of certificate management and PKI.- Familiarity with policy-as-code frameworks (OPA, Sentinel, Azure Policy).- Certifications:CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking, or SRE certifications.
Additional Information:- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Security Operation Automation.- This position is based at our Gurugram office.- A 15 years full time education is required. Qualification
