Technology Lead

Key Responsibilities

Automation Framework Design & Development

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, modular, and reusable automation frameworks using Java and Cucumber (BDD).
• Develop custom automation solutions for UI, API, and data validation testing across complex enterprise systems.
• Continuously enhance automation frameworks to support new technologies, environments, and reporting standards.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD and DevOps ecosystems to achieve fully automated test pipelines.

Test Pipeline and CI/CD Integration

• Design, implement, and manage automated test pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
• Ensure seamless integration of automated tests within build, deploy, and release processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize parallel execution, environment provisioning, and continuous testing.
• Automate test triggers, environment setup, and test data provisioning through infrastructure-as-code (IaC) where applicable.

Test Reporting & Analytics

• Define and implement automation metrics, KPIs, and quality gates to provide visibility into test results and coverage.
• Enable test result publishing to enterprise reporting tools and cloud dashboards.

Cloud & AWS Integration

• Architect and execute automation solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, and CloudFormation.
• Integrate test pipelines with cloud-based infrastructure to support cross-browser, distributed, and containerized testing.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to optimize cost and performance of test execution.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead automation design reviews, framework enhancements, and technical training for engineering teams.
• Define coding standards, framework guidelines, and automation best practices across projects.
• Provide hands-on guidance in troubleshooting, framework extensions, and complex automation scenarios.
• Champion adoption of modern automation

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Java and Cucumber (BDD) framework design and development.
• Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and data-driven testing.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
• Experience in test reporting frameworks
• Working knowledge of AWS Cloud – EC2 setup, Lambda test execution, S3 integration, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience in source control and collaboration tools: Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle.

Architectural & Leadership Skills

• Strong understanding of test architecture principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
• Ability to evaluate new tools and technologies and align them with the organization’s automation roadmap.
• Demonstrated experience leading automation initiatives across distributed Agile teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Domain Experience

• Experience in financial services, banking, or regulatory reporting systems.
