Description
As a Font and Magtech Support Administrator at Dotdash Meredith, your role involves providing technical support and maintenance for font management systems and magazine publishing technologies. Your responsibilities include: Font Administrator Responsibilities: - Managing and maintaining font libraries across MacOS, Windows, and cloud environments. - Deploying and integrating fonts using tools such as Adobe Cloud Fonts, Font Book, and FontAgent. - Ensuring licensing compliance and user access for fonts. - Collaborating across all departments, including Design, Editorial, Production, and Marketing. - Overseeing the procurement of fonts, including licensing and vendor negotiations. - Troubleshooting and resolving font-related issues such as missing fonts and font corruption. - Assisting users with font selection, installation, and best practices. - Maintaining documentation and logs related to font systems and issues. - Responding promptly to tickets and resolving font-related requests efficiently. - Escalating unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate support team. - Communicating clearly with customers to provide updates and resolution timelines. Magtech Administrator Responsibilities: - Installing, configuring, and maintaining relevant applications and plugins on macOS, Windows, and cloud-based systems. - Installing, configuring, and supporting publishing applications like Woodwing Studio, Assets, Dalim, and editorial tools. - Troubleshooting application-related issues, including missing images and plugin error messages. - Troubleshooting workflow system-related issues, including reading technical log files and understanding system error messages. - Responding promptly to tickets and resolving Magazine Technology support requests efficiently. - Escalating unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate support team. - Communicating clearly with customers to provide updates and resolution timelines. - Maintaining accurate logs of issues, solutions, and system updates. - Diagnosing and resolving support issues proactively. - Assisting non-technical users, such as designers and editorial teams, in troubleshooting errors. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in graphic design, IT, Publishing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). - 2-4 years of experience in a relevant role. - Strong experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC). - Good understanding of Windows & macOS. - Good understanding of Active Directory & IT workflows. - Familiarity with reporting and tracking issues in IT support tools. - Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and SAP Concur is desirable. - Good Understanding of Woodwing Studio, Assets, Dalim, Studio Editorial. - Excellent communication skills to assist non-technical users. - Ability to multi-task and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
