Technical Specialist

Key Responsibilities

BGP & Network Protocol Testing

• Design and execute

  BGP functional, interoperability, and negative test scenarios

  .
• Validate BGP behavior including

  route advertisement, convergence, failover, path selection, and policy enforcement

  .
• Test network behavior under

  link failures, route flaps, scale conditions, and stress scenarios

  .
• Work with routing stacks, network simulators, and real network devices.
  

Enterprise & Telco NMS Testing

• Validate

  Enterprise and Telco NMS platforms

  , including fault, performance, configuration, and topology management.
• Test alarm generation, correlation, suppression, and root-cause workflows.
  
• Validate telemetry ingestion, metrics accuracy, and performance at scale.
  
• Verify device discovery, inventory, and configuration management workflows.
  

Test Design & Automation Support

• Create

  test plans, test cases, and validation matrices

  aligned with product requirements.
• Support development of

  test automation

  for network and NMS validation where applicable.
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
  

Systems & Integration Testing

• Perform

  end-to-end system testing

  across backend services, networking components, and UI layers.
• Validate integrations with routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual network elements.
  
• Test REST APIs and backend services supporting NMS platforms.
  

Collaboration & Defect Management

• Work closely with product engineering, architecture, and support teams.
  
• Provide detailed defect reports with

  clear reproduction steps and packet-level evidence

  .
• Participate in design reviews to provide early testability and quality feedback.
  

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of BGP

  (eBGP, iBGP, route selection, policies, communities).
• Solid knowledge of

  networking fundamentals

  (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Hands-on experience testing

  Enterprise or Telco NMS platforms

  .
• Experience with

  network protocols and tools

  : SNMP, NETCONF/RESTCONF, syslog.
• Proficiency with

  network testing and analysis tools

  (Wireshark, tcpdump, route analyzers).
• Experience working with Linux-based systems.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
  
• 4+ years of experience in

  network protocol testing, NMS validation, or telecom/enterprise networking

  .
• Experience testing products in

  Telco or large Enterprise network environments

  .
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  routing simulators/emulators

  (GNS3, EVE-NG, commercial tools).
• Exposure to

  automation frameworks

  (Python, pytest, or similar).
• Knowledge of

  network telemetry, streaming data, and observability tools

  .
• Experience validating products at

  scale (large route tables, high device counts)

  .
• Familiarity with cloud or virtualized network environments.
