Technician (Mechanical)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician with at least 2 years of experience in the automobile industry, specializing in heavy vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy commercial vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repairs on heavy vehicles (trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles).
• Diagnose mechanical issues using tools, equipment, and technical manuals.
• Repair and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and enhance vehicle reliability.
• Maintain detailed service records and report on repairs performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance policies.
• Collaborate with the service team to meet deadlines and provide high-quality workmanship.

Requirements:

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components of heavy vehicles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
• Knowledge of latest automobile technologies and safety protocols.
• Ability to handle emergency repairs efficiently.
