Description
As an expert in .Net, Java, or PHP technologies, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving the successful migration of on-premises applications to AWS. Your role will involve ensuring stability, security, and adherence to best practices while maintaining clear documentation and facilitating smooth communication between stakeholders. It will be essential for you to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact the project. You will be expected to provide technical leadership and foresight by leading the technical aspects of the migration, making quick decisions to unblock issues, and identifying potential challenges before they escalate. Your deep technical expertise in .NET (Core and Framework), Java, PHP, and cloud technologies will be crucial for the successful completion of the migration. Hands-on involvement in troubleshooting complex issues related to connectivity, certificates, security, and authentication will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also guide teams to follow technical best practices for development, security, and operations and identify gaps in the existing system setup, provide solutions, and ensure their implementation. In terms of coordination and communication, you will be required to coordinate between Dev, QA, and Ops teams, act as the single point of contact for critical technical issues, and maintain proactive and timely communication with all stakeholders on the progress of migration. Collaboration with the Architect, other team leads, and the Technical Project Manager (TPM) will be essential to proactively resolve complex issues and dependencies. Your responsibilities will also include owning the "Resolution Log" process, enforcing the "Every Fix is Documented" policy, and continuously refining documentation processes to meet project requirements. You will be expected to identify and resolve root cause issues related to application configuration, certificate issues, interconnectivity challenges, and permission issues, working closely with other technical stakeholders to resolve dependencies with quick turnaround time. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and improving migration processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, tracking the progress of the migration, reporting on project milestones regularly, and contributing to the strategy for the full migration to AWS. Your technical skills should include expert-level knowledge of .NET Framework and .NET Core, proficiency in Java, PHP, and related web technologies, a deep understanding of IIS and Tomcat configuration, and solid knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Security, and Networking. Experience with AWS, Azure Key Vault, Active Directory, networking, security principles, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and logging tools will be beneficial for this role.
