Technical Support Engineer ( VMware) L2

Provide Level 2 technical support for VMware infrastructure components, including:

L2 candidates to support in a 24 X 7 environment with the following skill sets. All candidates should be open to work in shifts (majorly afternoon shifts).

• vSphere / ESXi hosts and virtual machines (VM lifecycle management)
• vCenter Server administration and configuration
• vSAN (storage clusters, performance tuning, fault domains)
• NSX / NSX-T (network virtualization, firewall rules, micro-segmentation)
• Monitor and maintain VMware infrastructure health, performance, and capacity.
• Perform host patching, upgrades, and resource optimization using vSphere Lifecycle Manager.
• Manage snapshots, backups, and disaster recovery configurations in line with policies.
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Support VM deployment automation and scripting (PowerCLI / PowerShell).
• Ensure security compliance and configuration standards across VMware environments
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • VMware vSphere (6.7, 7.x, 8.x)
  • VMware vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX / NSX-T, Horizon
  • Virtual networking (VDS, VLANs, routing, firewalls)
  • Storage integration (SAN, NAS, iSCSI)
• Basic understanding of Windows Server / Linux OS administration.
• VMware certifications such as VCTA, VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, or VCP-DTM preferred.
• 5+ years of quality experience in VMWare setup supporting 1200+ virtual machines
