Technical Specialist - Java, J2EE, SOA, REST Webservices, SOAP

As a candidate who can join on short notice, i.e less than a month, you will be responsible for the following: - Collaborating with Architects to understand and implement the proposed solutions. - Working with Business Analysts to comprehend the functional requirements. - Collaborating with the team to estimate development effort based on proposed solutions. - Delivering business functionality quickly, efficiently, and to a high quality. - Learning on the job and exploring new technologies with little supervision. - Elevating the productivity and quality of development teams by promoting agile practices and sharing skills through mentoring and/or pairing. Qualifications required for this role include: - 7+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java and J2EE development, preferably in WebSphere 7/8/Liberty profile. - Experience in designing and implementing Web Services (SOAP, REST, WS-*). - Extensive knowledge of design patterns and their applicability in the real world. - Proficiency in spring-based frameworks and tools. - Familiarity with source code management tools such as Clearcase/SVN. - Good understanding of Development Methodologies like Test Driven Development. - Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and think laterally with good analytical and problem-solving capabilities. - Displaying a flexible attitude and thriving in an ever-changing environment. - Extensive experience in any sort of continuous integration environment. Additionally, preferable skills include: - Oracle, PL-SQL. - HTML/CSS/JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks like Backbone. - Node.JS. - Continuous Integration & Development Tools. - Working Knowledge of LiveSite Application Server and IDOL. - Working knowledge of HP Deep Diagnostic Tool or CA Wily Tool. As a hands-on developer with a can-do attitude and a deep passion for technology, you should have a love for learning new concepts and technologies. A creative approach to problem-solving, the desire to do things the right way while remaining delivery focused, good interpersonal skills, confidence, and the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels are essential. Being an excellent team player is also crucial.
