Technical Program Manager, Design and Construction

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will utilize your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to completion. You will collaborate with stakeholders to strategize requirements, assess risks, manage project timelines, and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams within the organization. Your role will involve providing leadership and management to ensure the delivery of the expanding global fleet of Data Centers within the APAC Region. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage a global data center design and construction team, overseeing the scope related to construction or capital improvement projects at the facilities. - Develop detailed designs, supervise construction, commissioning, close-out, and hand-off to operations, ensuring all customer requirements are fulfilled. - Establish and nurture delivery models and relationships with vendors and contractors, utilizing appropriate metrics to measure outcomes. - Create a growth plan and participate in the recruitment of talent in project management, field engineering, document control, technical writing, etc. - Communicate with internal business partners to gather plans, drivers, and deadlines for initiating build projects and mobilizing contractors. Develop high-level project plans identifying resource requirements and critical paths. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in program management. Preferred qualifications include: - Hands-on experience with data center design, construction, and operations. - Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and agreements. - Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems. - Understanding of startup/commissioning processes and standard practices in the design and construction industry.
