Job Description: Develop and implement design strategies that contribute to Climate Positive, Nature Positive, and Human Positive project outcomes. Act as the main point of contact and maintain a good working relationship with clients. Negotiate fees, contracts, and deliverables both internally and externally. Drive business development centered on the Building Services team as part of the team s expansion. Lead the bidding work for the MEP team and collaborate with the wider Built Environment team for multi-disciplinary bids. Seek new opportunities with new clients and secure work for the MEP team. Handle day-to-day engineering duties, lead by example, and manage the MEP team. Ensure adequate resource levels within the office. Hire new staff and manage the team structure. Review project performance. Drive excellence within the MEP team. Conduct financial forward planning, set, manage, and achieve targets and budgets. Ensure compliance with the business management system. Candidate Specification: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Exemplary client management skills with the ability to maintain relationships while growing the business and winning new work and clients. Experience in the design and construction of innovative and technically challenging buildings. Preferred experience in design management and MEP Engineering Design of Healthcare, Life Sciences, and R&D facilities. Extremely commercially aware. Existing network of contacts for potential projects. Proven record of bidding and winning work. Experience managing teams of M&E Engineers and acting as project director for major projects. Ability to work with other directors to shape the future of the business and develop effective strategies to grow the business unit. Technically capable in the design of your engineering bias.
