  Technical Pre-Sales Engineer

  who can work at the intersection of APIs, business logic, and client impact.
• Youll play a crucial role in designing solutions, running technical demos, solving integration challenges, and being a trusted technical advisor in the sales process.

Job Responsibility

• Collaborate with sales and product teams to understand client requirements and propose effective, scalable technical solutions.
• Craft end-to-end architectures using APIs, cloud platforms, geospatial services, and client data systems.
• Build Proof of Concepts (PoCs), live demos, and technical walkthroughs that show how solutions can solve real business problems.
• Help clients test and integrate APIs (including Google Maps Platform and our in-house location intelligence stack).
• Troubleshoot client integration issues (e.g. API errors, unexpected responses) using tools like Postman, browser dev tools, or basic scripts.
• Guide customers through data flows, SDK usage, authentication models, and API lifecycle concerns.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and support content tailored for both developers and decision-makers.
• Serve as a feedback loop between customer needs and our product/engineering roadmap.

Qualification & Skillset

• 3+ years in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineer, sales engineer, or similar client-facing technical role.
• Solid experience working with REST APIs - testing, integrating, troubleshooting.
• Comfort with tools like Postman, cURL, API keys, authentication flows (OAuth, API tokens).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and building cloud-native solutions.
• Ability to write and understand basic scripts/code (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for demos, testing, or automations.
• Clear and confident communication skills - ability to simplify complex ideas for both technical and business audiences.
• Comfort building presentations, diagrams, and solution narratives for customers.
• Familiarity with Google Maps Platform (GMP) APIs like Directions, Places, Roads, and Maps JavaScript.
• Experience with mapping libraries like Mapbox GL, Leaflet, or DeckGL.
• Understanding of basic geospatial concepts (lat/lng, geocoding, catchment areas).
• Exposure to AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) and comfort using them for rapid prototyping or ideation.
• Experience working in SaaS, B2B product, or custom solution environments.
