Technical Manager/Quality Manager For NABL Environmental Laboratory

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Laboratory Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day technical operations of the environmental laboratory, including sample receipt, preparation, analysis, and data reporting. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory processes. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of analytical testing and reporting. Manage laboratory inventory, equipment maintenance, and calibration. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)as per ISO 17025: Establish and maintain a robust QA/QC program to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical data. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., EPA, state, and local regulations). Manage laboratory accreditations and certifications (e.g., NELAC/TNI). Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits. Maintain detailed records of QA/QC activities. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory staff. Train and mentor laboratory technicians on analytical methods and procedures. Stay current with advancements in environmental analytical techniques and technologies. Evaluate and implement new analytical methods and equipment. Oversee method validation. Safety: Ensure all laboratory safety protocols are followed. Maintain a safe working environment. Oversee proper disposal of chemical waste. Client Interaction: Answer technical questions from clients. Assist in the preparation of proposals and reports. Maintain strong client relationships.
