Role Overview: You will be joining the team at Litera, a leading legal technology company focused on innovation for over 25 years. Your role as a Full Stack Tech Lead will involve utilizing your expertise in Laravel and Next.js to develop scalable and high-performance next-gen applications. As a tech lead, you will lead a team of engineers, design robust solutions, and ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend technologies to deliver high-quality software that meets both business and user needs. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and deployment of web applications using Laravel for the backend and Next.js for the frontend. - Define and enforce best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and DevOps workflows. - Architect scalable and secure solutions to ensure system performance and maintainability. - Drive technical decision-making and mentor developers on best practices, design patterns, and modern web development principles. - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. - Design and develop RESTful API endpoints using Laravel. - Optimize database queries and manage schema migrations using PostgreSQL. - Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth. - Work with queues (AWS SQS) for background jobs and task scheduling. - Ensure security best practices, including input validation, XSS protection, and encryption. - Build and maintain scalable Next.js applications with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. - Implement client-side state management using Zustand. - Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and a seamless user experience. - Monitor and optimize application performance using New Relic and Sentry. - Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate Figma designs into interactive next-gen applications. - Implement logging, monitoring, and error tracking strategies. Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role. - Strong expertise in Laravel (PHP 8+), Next.js (React), and TypeScript. - Strong product focus with the ability to balance technical excellence with business impact. - Deep understanding of API design, authentication, and security best practices. - Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, PHPUnit, and Playwright. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize for performance and scalability. - Experience with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and ORMs such as Eloquent. - Hands-on experience with modern frontend development tools like Tailwind CSS and Zustand. - Ability to write automated tests using Jest, Cypress, or PHPUnit. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Nice-to-Have: - Experience with WebSockets and real-time applications. - Experience with tools like Cursor, V0, GitKraken. - Experience building text summarization, document processing, and AI-powered automation using LLMs. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems. - Strong understanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and optimizing LLM outputs for accuracy and efficiency. - Prior experience with shacdn.
