Job Description

Position Purpose

We are looking for a passionate technologist to design, architect, develop and deploy software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to - Build high quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.

-Design, architect, modify, refactor, develop, write and implement high quality software applications. Measure and tune application performance as per non-functional requirement. Perform code review to ensure high code quality.

- Support SDLC cycle, DevSecOps, integration with monitoring and observability tools.

Good collaboration with Onshore and Offshore teams

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Work under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a manager. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

-Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.

-In charge of developing and implementing database backups and disaster recovery strategies.

-Optimize database performance by fine-tuning database settings.

-Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to contribute to continuous improvements.

-Develop, implement, and manage database security policies and procedures to guarantee a seamless and successful flow of activities.

-Work closely with team members to guarantee database operation and integrity.

-Introduce and deploy new database technology.

-Maintain database reports, visualizations, and dashboards to help existing workflows.

-Assess the suitability of data for storage and the best way to organize storage.

-Defines, documents, and implements standards and complicated models to monitor and improve the database's capacity and performance.

-Maintains knowledge of and assesses new and developing technologies and tools for field application

-Reduce database downtime and control parameters to ensure quick query responses.

-Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are fulfilled, collaborating with internal and external support departments as needed when large events occur.

Technical Behavioral Competencies

Technical Skills;

Proficiency in Oracle Database Server Architecture.

Advanced understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring requirements

Modeling of relational and dimensional data

PowerShell and Unix shell scripting abilities are required.

Strong written and oral communication abilities

Knowledge of Linux Server infrastructures

Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), ASM, and Active Data Guard.

Prior knowledge of DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools is required.

Extensive knowledge of database standards and end-user applications and the ability to translate capacity needs into infrastructure deployment technologies.

- End to end application tech ownership, maintain book of work, collaboration with global teams.

- Lead a team of developers and provide technical guidance, code review, and mentoring.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

- At least 10 years of Hands on work experience in an Enterprise environment, preferably working in multi-location IT teams
