Job Description

Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, inspire, and manage a team of engineers and technicians for highways/road design projects.
Oversee technical deliverables to ensure compliance with UK standards (DMRB, MCHW, BS codes).
Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Provide technical support for road alignments, junctions, public-realm, and active travel designs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and India for seamless project execution.
Contribute to bids, business development, and client relationship management.
Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Expert knowledge of UK highways standards (DMRB, MCHW) and road design software (Open Roads, Civil 3D, AutoCAD).
Strong leadership skills with experience managing large-scale highway projects.
Excellent communication and client-handling skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
Proficient in project and resource management, technical governance, and process improvement.
Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE, CIHT) is preferred.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 12 years of experience in highways/roads design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
