Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Job Role :-

Responsible for rubber compounding, laboratory activities, process support, and technical coordination with aerospace and defence customers.

Job Responsibilities:

Rubber Compounding & Technology

  • Develop and control rubber compounds for aerospace and defence use
  • Handle materials like NR, NBR, EPDM, Silicone, FKM (Viton), Neoprene
  • Ensure compound consistency and batch approvals
  • Support material indigenisation and substitution

Laboratory & Testing

  • Overall responsibility of rubber testing lab
  • Ensure testing as per ASTM / ISO / MIL and customer standards
  • Approve raw materials, compounds, and finished products
  • Ensure calibration and upkeep of lab equipment

Process & Production Support

  • Support production for molding, extrusion, curing processes
  • Support trials, tooling validation, and first article approval
  • Solve technical and quality issues on shop floor

Quality & Customer Support

  • Support AS9100 / ISO systems and audits
  • Handle customer, CEMILAC, DGAQA, DRDO technical discussions
  • Prepare technical reports, material data, and qualification documents

Team Handling

  • Lead lab staff, chemists, and technical engineers

Train and guide the technical team

Preferred candidate profile

  • Rubber chemistry and compounding
  • Rubber testing instruments and standards
  • Aerospace and defence rubber requirements
