Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for supporting the documentation process and record-keeping of dry-docking functions for completed, in-progress, and upcoming dry docks. This role is ideal for candidates with less than 2 years of experience in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture, who are looking to advance towards Dry Docking Project Management. Key Responsibilities: - Collect documents and data from the fleet cell regarding the next dry docking and ensure the checklist and tracker are kept up to date. - Upload and organize files in SharePoint, adhering to the proper naming structure for various vessel drawings, specifications, job reports, executive summaries, and other project-related documents. - Assist in preparing client documentation packs by customizing documents from templates for projects. - Support basic VesselMan queries such as user management and maintaining training record books for stakeholders. - Maintain audit-ready digital records of projects completed by the docking function. - Generate basic Management Information System (MIS) and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint lists. Qualifications Required: Essential: - Recognized Marine Engineering qualification or Naval Architecture with or without relevant experience at sea. - Proficient communication (oral and written) skills in English. - Strong interpersonal skills to engage with individuals at all levels. - Effective planning and organizational abilities. - Basic to Intermediate level proficiency in MS-Word, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Point. - Demonstrated willingness to learn technical systems, good organizational skills, and a keen interest in growing within the Dry Docking support function. Desirable: - Basic understanding of Dry-Docking activities from start to finish. - Good knowledge of the latest data handling and visualization tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
