Technical Director I

Role Overview: As the Technical Director at EA Mobile - Slingshot Games in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, you will play a crucial role in leading technical direction and development processes for mobile game projects and services. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and be responsible for managing a team of engineers to promote continuous improvement and collaboration across disciplines and locations. Key Responsibilities: - Lead technical direction and development processes for mobile game projects and services - Manage a team of engineers, promoting continuous improvement and collaboration across disciplines and locations - Guide teams to align and accomplish development goals - Align with leaders and peers across locations on technical priorities Qualifications: - 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering - 3+ years in a technical leadership role - Experienced with mobile game development, web development, and performance optimization - Programming skills and expertise in software design, algorithms, and data structures - Experienced in Agile methodologies, continuous integration, road mapping, and prioritization - 10+ years of professional game development experience across game client and server backend - 5+ years leading impactful engineering teams - Collaborated with directors on a game to develop the vision and execute on it - Shipped and supported a large scale mobile title played by millions - Extensive experience with game engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal Engine) and 3D - Extensive experience with cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) Additional Company Details: Electronic Arts (EA) is a global leader in creating next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans worldwide.
