As the Technical Director at EA Mobile - Slingshot Games (India), you will be responsible for leading the technical direction and development processes for mobile game projects and services. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will manage a team of engineers, promote continuous improvement and collaboration across disciplines and locations, and guide teams to align and accomplish development goals. Your role will involve aligning with leaders and peers across locations on technical priorities. To be successful in this position, you should have 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role. You must be experienced with mobile game development, web development, and performance optimization, possess strong programming skills and expertise in software design, algorithms, and data structures, and be familiar with Agile methodologies, continuous integration, road mapping, and prioritization. Additionally, you should have at least 10 years of professional game development experience across game client and server backend, along with 5+ years of experience leading impactful engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have collaborated with directors on a game to develop the vision and execute on it, shipped and supported a large-scale mobile title played by millions, and have extensive experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and 3D. Experience with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is also essential.
