Job Description

As a Technical Digital Content Validator, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and successful release of interactive digital publications, focusing primarily on ePub and PDF files. Your role will involve validating and troubleshooting ePubs containing embedded JavaScript for interactivity and assessment content within the EdTech space. Working within a content management platform, you will identify and resolve issues, conduct quality assurance, and support the digital content lifecycle. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their skills in a publishing environment through practical problem-solving and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: - Proficiently work with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including debugging skills. - Demonstrate experience or foundational understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, Vue.js, as they relate to embedded ePub interactivity. - Understand XML structure and concepts, along with working with ZIP archives to grasp how ePubs are structured. - Validate digital content against style guides, regulatory standards, compliance requirements, and accessibility. - Utilize strong analytical and diagnostic skills to proactively identify and resolve technical issues, particularly code-related bugs. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 3-5 years of relevant experience. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical team members. - Understanding of data structures, metadata validation, and experience with digital content formats and validation tools. - Familiarity with code editors like VS Code, Sublime Text, and comfort with file management. Preferred Skills: - Direct experience with ePub development, particularly embedding and troubleshooting JavaScript for interactivity in the EdTech space. - Knowledge of EPUB-specific tools like Sigil, Calibre, Kindle Previewer, and basic understanding of Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF inspection and manipulation. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git and exposure to accessibility standards such as WCAG and EPUB Accessibility specifications. - Experience with content management systems (CMS) or digital asset management (DAM) platforms. - Prior experience in digital content documentation, validation, or QA specific to eBooks and online learning platforms.,
