Technical Audit Manager Automobile Industry

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or related technical field, preferred from mining background.
• Minimum 58 years of experience in the automobile industry, with at least 3 years in auditing, technical inspections of heavy equipment machineries/vehicle.
• Certifications in auditing standards (e.g.IATF 16949) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, workshop practices, and dealership operations.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools, ERP/CRM systems, and technical documentation.

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and conduct technical audits across mining units, workshops and service networks.
• Audit technical aspects such as repair, workshop processes, parts management, diagnostics, tool usage, and warranty procedures.
• Review adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) of heavy equipment vehicles and machineries, OEM guidelines, safety protocols, and environmental norms.
• Identify technical non-conformities, root causes, and process gaps, and propose corrective/preventive actions.
• Analyze trends and prepare detailed technical audit reports with actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Service, Sales) to implement improvements and monitor compliance.
• Ensure audits are aligned with IATF 16949 and other applicable automotive standards.
• Evaluate technical competence of service staff and recommend training or certification requirements.
• Assist in supplier and vendor audits for automobile technical assurance and component reliability.
• Use data from warranty claims, customer complaints, and service history to guide audit focus areas.
• Stay updated on latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and compliance regulations.
