Job Description

As an experienced Network Design Engineer, your role will involve designing wireless and wired network solutions for retail and office environments. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing enterprise-grade wireless network solutions, considering coverage, capacity, and interference mitigation strategies. - Performing wireless surveys using tools like Ekahau or AirMagnet for optimal Access Point (AP) placements. - Ensuring compliance with customer technology standards, security guidelines, and wireless policies. - Providing recommendations for AP positioning, RF tuning, channel planning, and optimal antenna selection based on floor challenges. - Integrating Meraki & Juniper Wireless for highly available and scalable LAN/WLAN architectures. - Offering design expertise and support for Juniper & Meraki switch configurations, VLANs, routing, and QoS policies. - Collaborating with project managers, vendors, and customer IT teams to drive seamless execution. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex wireless issues across multiple sites. In terms of qualifications and experience, we are looking for someone with: - 8+ years of experience in enterprise wireless & wired network design and implementation. - Deep expertise in Meraki Wireless or Juniper Wireless solutions. - Advanced knowledge of Meraki or Juniper switches, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and QoS best practices. - Proficiency in RF design principles, antenna selection, AP placement, and interference mitigation. - Experience in wireless security mechanisms, RF tuning, channel planning, and wireless QoS. - Understanding of wireless performance troubleshooting using Meraki Controller, or Juniper Mist AI. You should be proficient in: - WLAN standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF planning, and channel management. - Cisco Meraki Wireless Design and Juniper Mist Wireless Design. - Ekahau Wireless Planning for pre/post wireless surveys, AP planning, and RF analysis. - LAN Switching Design (L2/L3) and Cloud-managed Wireless. - Wireless Security (WPA2/3, 802.1X) and RF Troubleshooting & Optimization. - Documentation & High-Level/Low-Level Design Writing and Project Experience. - Communication & Customer Interaction skills. Having certifications such as Meraki CMNA, Mist AI Certification, CWNA/CWDP, JNCIA-MistAI would be advantageous but not mandatory.
