Job Description

As a Technical Solutions and Support Engineer, your role is crucial in ensuring that projects meet business revenue targets, maintain high customer satisfaction, and eliminate rework and delays. Your responsibilities include: - Working closely with customers during the enquiry stage to understand their needs and document project requirements and technical specifications to prevent errors during the project. - Proposing solution architecture, bill of material, and work scope to facilitate smooth installation and commissioning of systems on site. - Collaborating with the sales team to engage multiple stakeholders within the customer's organization to move enquiries towards orders. - Handing over orders to the operations team accurately for seamless execution. - Providing technical support to team members on site and attending sites when necessary to support the sales and execution team. You will also be expected to drive continual improvement in delivery by reducing project timelines and incorporating feedback for enhancement. This includes: - Reviewing debriefing notes and work reports to identify areas of improvement and updating standard documents, checklists, and parts lists. - Building and enhancing your own and your team's capabilities through training and technology adoption. - Monitoring remote dashboards, managing IOT data, creating analysis reports, and training customers on ECMS systems for efficient service delivery. In terms of qualifications, you should possess: - Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, with 6-8 years of hands-on experience on medium and high-speed diesel engines. - Familiarity with computers, Excel, CRM, and SAP to manage lists and documentation effectively. - Basic understanding of automation, electrical, and control systems as they relate to engine operation. - Knowledge of propulsion systems. Your success in this role will also depend on your skills: - Proficiency in verbal and written English for effective communication and documentation. - Attention to detail to accurately translate technical information into documentation and work scopes.
