Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in Shopify theme and app implementation
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a passion for e commerce solutions, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment
• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high quality Shopify applications and themes that enhance user experience and drive business growth

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement custom Shopify themes and applications based on client requirements
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, including designers and product managers, to deliver high quality software solutions
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure best practices are followed
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Shopify development
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications and themes
• Document development processes, code changes, and application features for future reference
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in Shopify theme and app implementation
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templating language
• Experience with Shopify APIs and third party integrations
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile first development
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with version control systems, such as Git
• Familiarity with front end frameworks like React or Vue.js
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for e commerce
• Experience with performance optimization techniques for web applications
• Understanding of web accessibility standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 7-10 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on e commerce platforms
• Proven track record of successful Shopify projects
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous Shopify themes and applications
