Tech Engineer - React

As a Software Engineer at UBS, your role will involve designing and building next-generation developer platforms on the cloud using a variety of technologies. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building solutions for developers to ensure they have the necessary tools and computing resources - Designing, writing, and delivering sustainable solutions using modern programming languages like Typescript and Go - Providing technology solutions and automation to address business application challenges and solidify UBS's position as digital leaders in financial services - Writing and defining application and platform delivery requirements for the entire IT organization - Conducting code reviews, testing code as required, and participating in application architecture, design, and other stages of the software development life cycle - Implementing proper operational controls and procedures to facilitate the transition from testing to production In the DevCloud team at UBS, you will work alongside developers, quants, and other employees worldwide, ensuring they have the necessary tools and environment for coding and engineering solutions. To excel in this role, you should have: - 7 to 12 years of experience with a strong background in front-end technologies such as React/Node JS and API development - Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript and experience with Linux containers, Kubernetes, TCP/IP, and networking concepts - Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud, along with expertise in microservice architecture and building RESTful services - A preference for automation, hands-on experience with Terraform, and knowledge of monitoring tools like InfluxDB, Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana - Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, including experience in building pipelines using GitLab, ADO, or similar tools - A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience - Experience working in agile teams, the ability to work independently, strong organizational skills, and adaptability to a fast-paced environment UBS is the world's largest global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions in over 50 countries.
