Job Description

Position:Scientific Officer Cytogenetics

Desirable Qualification:

B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Human Genetics, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences

Desirable Experience:

23 years of hands-on experience in cytogenetic techniques

1. Chromosomal Analysis

blood, bone marrow, amniotic fluid, and POC (Products of Conception)

  • Preparation of reagents and media
  • Setting up and maintaining cell cultures
  • Harvesting cellcultures
  • Preparing and staining slides (e.g., G-banding or other staining techniques)
  • Microscopy and karyotype analysis

2. FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) Analysis

  • Perform FISH staining on

    blood, bone marrow, amniotic fluid, POC, and tissue

    samples
  • Analyze and interpret FISH results in compliance with laboratory standards and protocols
