Job Description

As the Team Lead, Reviewer Engagement at Springer Nature, your main responsibility will be to lead a team dedicated to recruiting and managing peer reviewers for Springer Nature journals. You will oversee a team of Specialists and Associates, ensuring an efficient recruitment pipeline from screening and onboarding to reviewer support that aligns with the organization's goals. Your role will involve strategic planning, process improvement, and developing initiatives to enhance engagement with the research community, providing opportunities for growth and career development for the reviewers. Key Responsibilities: - Manage team resources effectively for organizational and individual team member needs. - Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of recruitment specialists and associates. - Drive and coordinate recruitment priorities, ensuring high-quality service delivery and meeting targets. - Promote a culture of continuous improvement and encourage feedback for process enhancement. Deliver and implement the Reviewer Engagement strategy: - Collaborate with the Head of Reviewer Engagement to develop the reviewer recruitment strategy. - Update and develop training resources for the recruitment team to maintain best practices. - Provide monthly reports on team progress against KPIs and implement changes for improvement. - Contribute to tools and services development for identifying suitable candidates. Recruitment process management: - Oversee and develop the recruitment pipeline, from screening to onboarding and performance management. - Engage internal and external stakeholders to support recruitment needs. - Contribute to improving tracking, recruitment, and performance review processes. Support Editorial Board recruitment, data management, analysis, and customer engagement. Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in line management, STM journal publishing, recruitment, stakeholder management, and building relationships with external stakeholders. - University degree, preferably in a relevant discipline. - Additional certifications in recruitment or management are desirable.
