Team Lead - Product Development

As a Product Development Manager for automotive OEM coatings at our company, you will be responsible for leading a team to develop new products for the local and global automotive OEM market. Your role will involve working closely with marketing and technical teams, planning and executing laboratory research, and translating automobile market needs into future technologies for automotive OEM coatings. Key Responsibilities: - Develop products (Primer, Basecoat & Clearcoat) for OEM markets, ensuring they meet or exceed customer expectations. - Execute projects efficiently to achieve defined milestones on time, on budget, and on quality through collaborative work with global technical and cross-functional teams. - Lead a team in a global and collaborative work environment to develop cutting-edge automotive OEM coatings technologies. - Utilize LEAN principles in product development projects and perform root-cause analyses. - Deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders and prepare invention disclosures to support patent applications. - Drive technical advances in coating chemistry and processes, while maintaining Quality Management Systems and implementing EHS procedures for a safe working environment. - Conduct audits in labs to identify hazards and initiate corrective actions and preventive practices. Qualification Required: - Education: PhD in Chemistry/Polymer - Working Experience: PhD with a minimum of 5 years experience in Paints & Coatings - Technical & Professional Knowledge: Knowledge in material science, surface coatings chemistry, and a deep understanding of polymeric structure and property relationship.
