Team Lead - AutoCAD Draughtsman

The position of Team Lead - AutoCAD Draughtsman/CAD Drafter involves leading a team of CAD drafters to create accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD software. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the drafting process, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards, and providing guidance and support to team members. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders is essential to meet project goals and deadlines while upholding high-quality standards. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing the team of CAD drafters, assigning tasks and projects based on workload and expertise, reviewing project specifications and client requirements, coordinating with stakeholders to gather necessary information, and providing technical guidance and mentorship on AutoCAD drafting techniques. You will also be responsible for reviewing and approving drawings created by team members, monitoring project progress, identifying and resolving issues, and conducting regular team meetings to communicate updates and provide feedback. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of proven experience as a CAD drafter or AutoCAD technician. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is required, demonstrating your ability to effectively lead and manage a team. Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant CAD tools, a strong understanding of technical drawing standards and construction principles, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines are essential.
