Job Description

About the Role:

Head of Taxation

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Strategy & Advisory

Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives.
Provide advisory support on business structuring, M&A, and IPO-related tax matters.
Keep abreast of changing tax laws and proactively assess business impact.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, TDS, and other applicable regulations.
Manage tax audits, assessments, and litigation at all levels.
Establish internal controls to minimize tax risks and optimize tax efficiency.

Representation & Stakeholder Engagement

Liaise and represent the company before government authorities, regulators, and tax consultants.
Engage with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and external advisors.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations, Business Units) to enable tax-compliant decision-making.

Leadership & Governance

Lead and mentor the taxation team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Establish governance frameworks and best practices in taxation.
Drive automation and technology adoption for efficiency and accuracy.

What Were Looking For:

Mandatory:
Chartered Accountant (CA)
Preferred:
Law degree (LL.B.) with specialization in Taxation
8+ years of post-qualification experience with a strong focus on
GST
and exposure to
Direct Taxation
.
Proven experience in handling
tax litigation, audits, and regulatory representation
.
Prior exposure to working in large corporates, preferably in
manufacturing, FMCG, or diversified conglomerates
.
