Tax Assessments and Appeals Assistant

As a Tax Assessments and Appeals Assistant at M/s. Arvindkumar Maniar & Co. - CA Firm, you will play a crucial role in supporting the tax team with managing and resolving tax assessment matters and appeal processes. With a strong understanding of tax procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and tax authorities, you will be responsible for gathering information, preparing documentation, and assisting senior consultants in navigating the complexities of tax assessments and appeals. Your responsibilities will include assisting in gathering necessary information and documents for tax assessment procedures, preparing and organizing documentation for responding to tax notices, supporting senior consultants in preparing replies to assessment orders, maintaining systematic records of assessment-related communications, preparing and filing appeal forms, tracking the progress of assessment and appeal cases, communicating with clients for updates and information, researching tax laws and case precedents, preparing case summaries and briefs for appeal hearings, coordinating with administrative staff for timely document filing, ensuring compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements, maintaining client confidentiality, staying updated on tax assessment procedures and regulations, and providing general administrative support to the tax team. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) and a basic understanding of Indian tax laws, including Income Tax and GST. Prior work experience of 1 year is preferred. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Rajkot, requiring in-person work during day shifts.
