As a senior at EY, you will be required to manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work of the Global Delivery Services team serving that client. The role demands technical knowledge of Assurance and accounting standards, strong project management skills, as well as well-developed communication and leadership skills. Seniors work on increasingly challenging engagements to gain the experience and skills needed to manage a portfolio, typically leading small teams comprising Associates, Advanced Associates, and Lead Associates. The role offers a blended experience of EY's domestic and multinational clients for CAs looking to gain exposure to IFRS, ISAs, and multinational companies while retaining domestic client experience. In the role of a Senior, your primary responsibilities and accountabilities will include adapting the Assurance approach to the changing client environment, demonstrating a thorough understanding of complex accounting and Assurance concepts, developing people through effective delegation and guidance, fostering an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment, utilizing technology for continuous learning and knowledge sharing, and maintaining an educational program to continually develop skills. Technical Competencies / Skills required for the role include Assurance Technical skills with good knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP standards, and ISAs, Accounting Standards with working knowledge of GAAP and financial performance concepts, Coaching skills to supervise and provide feedback to junior team members, Project Management skills to run multiple engagements and collaborate with onshore teams, Communication skills to build relationships and resolve problems effectively, and being a team player contributing to a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of post-qualification experience (CA) from midsized to Big 4 Assurance background or 2-5 years of post-qualification experience (ACCA) from midsized to Big 4 Assurance background. Competencies and skills required include a basic understanding of accounting and Assurance concepts, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, logical reasoning skills, interest in business and commerciality, ability to work under pressure, commitment to continuous learning, energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, attention to detail, among others.
