Job Description

The Tandoor Commi II assists in preparing and cooking a variety of tandoor-based dishes while maintaining hygiene, quality, and consistency. The role supports senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and ensures smooth functioning of the tandoor section. Key Responsibilities - Assist in the preparation and cooking of tandoori items such as naan, roti, kebabs, tikkas, and breads. Ensure proper marination, portioning, and mise-en-place for all tandoor dishes. Maintain correct temperature and handling of the tandoor oven. Support senior chefs in daily operations and follow their instructions promptly. Prepare doughs and basic marinades as required. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the tandoor area as per food safety standards. Store raw and cooked food properly to avoid contamination. Ensure timely preparation and quick service during peak hours. Check and maintain inventory levels for tandoor ingredients. Follow all kitchen SOPs, safety rules, and company policies. Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies. Work as part of a team and maintain a positive working attitude. Skills & RequirementsBasic knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques. Ability to handle heat and fast-paced kitchen operations. Understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices. Good teamwork and communication skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
