Roles and Responsibilities:

• ETL Job Development:

  Design, develop, and implement complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) jobs using

  Talend Open Studio for Data Integration

  .

• Data Source Connectivity:

  Establish connections to and extract data from various disparate sources, including relational databases, flat files, XML, JSON, web services, and other enterprise applications.

• Data Transformation & Quality:

  Implement data cleansing, validation, transformation, and aggregation logic within Talend jobs to ensure data quality and integrity before loading into target systems.

• Job Scheduling & Monitoring:

  Schedule, monitor, and manage the execution of Talend jobs, ensuring timely data availability and addressing any job failures or performance issues.

• Performance Optimization:

  Optimize Talend jobs for performance, scalability, and resource utilization. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data pipelines.

• Troubleshooting:

  Perform in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of data discrepancies, integration failures, and performance issues within Talend jobs and data flows.

• Data Modeling & Warehousing:

  Collaborate with data architects and data analysts to understand data models and requirements for data warehousing and reporting solutions.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed Talend jobs, data flows, mappings, and transformations.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with data architects, database administrators, business analysts, and other development teams to ensure successful data integration and project delivery.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Talend Expertise:

  Strong hands-on experience with

  Talend Open Studio for Data Integration

  , including knowledge of various components, connectors, and best practices.

• ETL/Data Warehousing:

  Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing principles, and data modeling (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).

• SQL Proficiency:

  Advanced proficiency in

  for querying, manipulating, and optimizing data across various database systems.

• Database Knowledge:

  Experience working with different relational and potentially NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).

• Problem-Solving:

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex data integration challenges.

• Communication:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Talend certifications are a plus.
