Tactical Buyer

As a Tactical Buyer, your role involves supporting global operations through effective execution of direct and indirect procurement activities, material supply arrangements, and resolution of operational issues. Your focus will be on securing cost efficiency and master data control with a tactical support approach and timely execution. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with category managers and business units to establish and deliver procurement requirements, ensuring compliance with existing procurement contracts - Follow all SOPs and WI as defined by customer policies to mitigate risks and maintain quality standards - Manage transactional buying activities by communicating with Engineers and supporting wider strategic category management, including converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders within SAP Ariba and SAP ECC platforms - Monitor and address non-compliant buying activities - Confirm accuracy and acceptance of PO information with suppliers, updating details as required - Provide tactical support for senior level buyers and Category managers on routine procurement issues, such as invoice and receipt discrepancies and order expediting - Maintain accurate records of all vendor agreements and related procurement records - Support continuous improvement in purchasing procedures to eliminate waste and non-value-added activities - Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, resolving issues related to pricing, quality, timing, claims, and contract disputes - Understand demand/spend profiles for commodity areas and provide necessary information - Manage supplier issues concerning cost, quality, delivery, and customer service - Ensure system data integrity and measure performance on key indicators - Comply with internal and external safety guidelines regarding environmental protection, occupational and traffic safety - Support category sourcing to improve suppliers" compliance with Safety, Health & Environment and Corporate & Social Responsibility standards - Communicate effectively with representatives in other departments for supply orders and keep them updated on order statuses - Manage supplier quality expectations and identify suppliers needing corrective actions - Participate in cost-down initiative projects as needed Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree and two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience - Proficiency in SAP ECC and SAP Ariba - Expertise in Spot Buy Management (Indirects) & Tail Spend Management - Functional Procurement experience supporting tactical activities within a manufacturing organization - Proficiency in German Language at C1 level or higher - Ability to operate effectively across different cultures and geographies - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to champion Procurement organization's vision - Ability to balance total cost of ownership, strategic, and tactical delivery - Good command of English - Comfortable with change and complexity, able to drive behavioral change - Knowledge of price and cost analysis - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills Additional Details: - Total Experience Required: 3-8 Years - Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days - Location: Pune - Working Mode: Full Time Please note that the above details are based on the provided job description for the Tactical Buyer role in Pune.,
