Tableau Server Architect

You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Tableau Server/Cloud environments across development, test, and production tiers. Your key responsibilities will include: - Defining and implementing architecture for high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and load balancing. - Managing Tableau Server installations, upgrades, migrations, and patches in both Windows and Linux environments. - Configuring Active Directory integration, SSL, and SAML/SSO authentication mechanisms such as Okta, Azure AD, and Ping. - Administering licenses, user roles, and group permissions according to organizational security policies. - Establishing governance frameworks for content publishing, data source certification, and folder/project structures. - Defining and enforcing row-level security (RLS), data access policies, and auditing mechanisms. - Implementing monitoring and alerting systems for performance, usage analytics, and resource consumption. - Developing and managing automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD) using Tableau REST API, TabCmd, or Python scripts. - Integrating Tableau with external data sources such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, AWS Redshift, and governance tools like Alation and Collibra. You will need the following qualifications for this role: - Experience in Tableau Server architecture and administration. - Proficiency in configuring security settings and authentication mechanisms. - Strong understanding of governance frameworks and data access policies. - Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems for performance optimization.
