About the Role

APAC Property and Casualty Operations Team

Reinsurance Operations Associate

APAC Operations is part of the P&C Re Operations Division and is responsible for handling the in-force reinsurance business from end to end.

In this role, you will manage reinsurance accounts and claims, ensuring deliverables are met through a sound understanding of reinsurance contractual conditions. You will work within an established framework of processes and policies, with potential opportunities for process improvement.

You will be responsible for an assigned portfolio of APAC clients, collaborating with internal and external business partners. The environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability during periods of change. Self-initiative and career development are strongly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of reinsurance accounts (premiums, claims, brokerage) with adherence to quality and turnaround standards
  • Manage reinsurance claims, ranging from simple to moderately complex cases
  • Accurately capture claims information based on client/broker reports and contractual documents
  • Maintain accuracy, quality, and compliance as per defined process standards
  • Perform rigorous follow-ups and resolve open queries using the defined escalation matrix
  • Analyze issues in own portfolio and follow through to resolution
  • Ensure adherence to financial guidelines and key controls during transactions/payments
  • Manage accounts receivable and track portfolio financials
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting as per internal and regulatory requirements
  • Contact internal teams and external clients (written and verbal) to resolve operational issues
  • Collaborate across teams, functions, and regions in virtual settings
  • Leverage Power BI and data tools to assess and steer the portfolio

About the Team

You will be part of a highly experienced and motivated reinsurance operations team managing portfolios across diverse APAC regions. The team promotes continuous improvement and collaboration across locations to deliver the best service to internal and external clients. We aim to simplify processes while maintaining strong risk understanding.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or a related field
  • 0 to 3 years of work experience in a relevant domain
  • Strong numerical skills and proficiency in MS Excel
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Agile team player with a sense of accountability and commitment
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in virtual team settings
  • Comfort with challenging the status quo and working with multicultural teams
  • Insurance or finance-related certifications are a plus
