Role Overview: The MIG BEST (Baseline Engineering & System Test) team at Cisco is a dynamic and inclusive group driving innovation with a strong focus on network automation. Committed to customer success and positive outcomes, the team is responsible for Cisco's industry-leading Core, Edge, Access, and Optical product portfolio. Key Responsibilities: - Craft, develop, automate, and validate new hardware and features across sophisticated networks. - Implement functional, interoperability, and customer use cases. - Define and qualify end-to-end solution architectures, solve network issues, and develop solutions. - Advance network automation and analytics based on customer needs. - Drive continuous improvement and quality-focused transformation. - Collaborate with global teams, engage directly with customers and partners. Qualification Required: - At least 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a college degree or similar experience in computer science, engineering, or a related area. - Deep passion for quality, customer success, and continuous improvement in system and solution testing, with dynamic experience in software quality assurance. - Strong understanding of Service Provider technologies, network protocols (L2L7), and experience with network management tools and traffic generators. - Proficiency in automation (Python, REST, Jenkins), Linux, modern software tools, and proven software design and development skills. - Collaborative teammate with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. - Highly accountable and dedicated to delivering inclusive, high-quality solutions.
