System Engineer

As a System Engineer for Electric Drive Systems of Electric Vehicles, your key responsibilities will include developing electric axle drive systems for electric vehicles, supporting feasibility studies of customer requirements in collaboration with internal departments, analyzing customer requirements with a focus on functionality, quality, durability, cost, and functional safety (ISO 26262), translating customer requirements into technical system requirements through requirement engineering methods, conducting reviews of system requirements with internal departments, assisting in creating a system architecture and FMEA, specifying internal and external system interfaces, and overseeing the implementation of system features and functionality from defining system requirements and architecture to simulation, operation, and testing. You will also be responsible for supporting the analysis of test results in collaboration with testing, hardware, software, mechanics, and functional safety departments, analyzing system test results, and integrating systems on the test bench and inside the vehicle. To qualify for this role, you should hold a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or equivalent, possess good knowledge of axle drive concepts for hybrid and electric vehicles, and have at least 3 years of professional experience in System Design or System Architecture and Requirements Engineering. You should demonstrate an independent and goal-oriented working method, the ability to structure and prioritize tasks, an analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and fluency in English (German language skills are an added advantage).
