Job Title: Hardware Infrastructure System Administrator Department: IT / Infrastructure Location: [Company Location] Reporting To: IT Manager / Head of IT Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Infrastructure System Administrator to manage and maintain our company's on-premise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical servers, desktop hardware, networking equipment, and other IT assets, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain all physical IT infrastructure including servers, desktop systems, laptops, network switches, routers, firewalls, and UPS systems. Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware components and operating systems. Perform regular maintenance and health checks on all IT hardware. Monitor system performance and network traffic to identify potential issues or bottlenecks. Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, AMC, and warranty support. Ensure proper inventory management of all IT assets and peripherals. Implement data backup and disaster recovery solutions. Maintain documentation of hardware configuration, changes, and user issues. Provide end-user technical support related to hardware and networking issues. Ensure security protocols are followed at the hardware and network level. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 6 months–2 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support. Hands-on experience with desktop hardware, servers (Dell/HP/Lenovo), and LAN/WAN equipment. Proficient in Windows/Linux OS installation and troubleshooting. Familiar with network cabling, IP configuration, DHCP, DNS, and firewalls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and team coordination skills.
