Description

The Switching / Router Engineering position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures that support organizational operations. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in switching and routing technologies to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain switching and routing solutions for enterprise and service provider networks.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to switching and routing.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to design network architectures that meet business needs.
Conduct performance analysis and optimization of existing network infrastructure.
Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and compliance.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on switching and routing technologies.
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and other networking protocols.
Experience with network monitoring tools and network performance optimization techniques.
CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications are preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
