Job Description

As an experienced Inspector, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Reviewing applicable contractual requirements such as technical standards and specifications, and identifying any execution or inspection problems. - Conducting inspections of Pressure Vessels and components (Filters, Boilers, Storage Tanks, etc) from the raw material stage to the final stage, in adherence to codes and standards like ASME Sec-VIII. This includes reviewing documents like QAP, WPS, PQR, WPQR, NDT procedures, material identification, applicable testing, and stage-wise inspection of welding and fabrication processes. - Inspecting Piping for Process Plants, including stage-wise inspections, component inspections, dimensional checks, and spool inspections at fabricators' sites. - Overseeing inspections of Pipes and Tubes, including ERW & SS pipes as per ASTM, IS, and API standards, from the raw material stage to the final inspection. This involves reviewing documents, conducting tests such as strip & pipe U.T., Eddy-current testing, MPT, Hydro-test, mechanical tests, and other requirements for black and galvanized pipes. - Inspecting piping components such as Flanges, Fittings, Valves, and Pumps, and performing various testing activities in line with applicable piping codes and product standards. - Conducting inspections of Castings for Critical jobs like Shafts & Roller assemblies, Gears, Mill Heads, with activities like Raw Material Identification, Applicable physical & chemical Testing, U.T. in proof machined condition, final inspection after machining, M.P.I., D.P.T. - Performing inspections of Steel structures for hydro power plants, including structural parts of hydropower projects like radial gates, spillway stop logs, surge shaft, trash racks, etc. This involves M.P.I., D.P.T., and UT of parts, as well as inspections of other structural parts like structural steel sections, trusses, and towers. - Selecting the most appropriate inspection techniques for different projects. - Monitoring, coaching, and supervising one or more inspectors. - Conducting Vendor Assessments, which includes auditing documentation and various aspects of quality control and quality assurance at vendors' sites. This also involves analyzing the system of NC follow-ups, effectiveness of QMS implementation, product testing, and subsequent Vendor Rating based on observations. Additionally, you will be responsible for assessing the manufacturing facilities' capacity of manufacturers for various clients.
