Surface Coating Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Paint Selection & Application:

  Choose the right paint for automotive parts, oversee application, and ensure quality through testing.

• Powder Coating:

  Select and assess powder coatings, optimize processes for cost and performance, and check the quality of powder-coated parts.

• Electro-plating & Anodizing:

  Select coatings for electrical components like PCBs and connectors, ensuring they meet performance standards.

• Testing & Validation:

  Perform tests on all coatings to ensure durability, adhesion, and quality.

• Process Improvement:

  Identify areas to improve coating processes and reduce costs while maintaining quality.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good knowledge and hands-on experience with different types of

  paint

  ,

  powder coating

  , and their

  application and testing

  processes.
• Familiar with common

  paint and coating defects

  and how to fix them.
• Experience with

  electroplating processes

  like

  zinc plating

  ,

  nickel-chrome plating

  hard chrome plating

• Knowledge of

  ,

  ceramic coatings

  .
• Ability to analyze and solve problems related to surface coating failures.

  for surface treatments.

  travel to supplier sites
