Job Description

As a Supply Chain Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing supply chain strategies to enhance performance and reduce costs. Your main responsibilities will include coordinating with various departments such as sales, procurement, and finance to forecast demand and create supply plans ensuring the availability of materials. You will be tasked with assessing and managing risks associated with supply chain operations due to potential disruptions or variances. Monitoring and adjusting supply chain activities in response to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies will be essential in this role. It will also be your responsibility to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all aspects of supply chain operations. In addition, you will be required to implement and maintain processes to evaluate supplier performance data including delivery and quality to identify opportunities for improvement. Managing vendor relationships, monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, and quality standards will be key aspects of your day-to-day tasks. Your roles and responsibilities will further involve ensuring optimal capacity procurement and allocation by coordinating the forecast of supply and demand. Identifying areas of risk within the supply chain category and implementing appropriate mitigation measures will be crucial for effective supply chain management. Enforcing terms and conditions of purchase orders, compliance with legal requirements, and company policy will also fall under your purview. Analyzing supplier spend reports to identify targeted improvements and resolving non-conformance issues in a timely manner to minimize the company's exposure will be part of your routine tasks. You will collaborate with procurement buyers, category managers, and users to ensure internal and external customer needs are met satisfactorily. Planning, organizing, and chairing regular performance reviews with suppliers, as well as coordinating with the quality team to evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve any shortcomings, will be essential for success in this role.
