Supplier Readiness Engineer - Metal Commodity

As an applicant for the position of localizing car parts and engine parts, your role will involve ensuring the sourcing of parts from suppliers meets the defined project milestones in terms of quantity and quality. Your expertise in tooling across areas like Plastic, Metal, Forging, Casting, Welding, and Automation will be crucial. Strong project management skills will be essential for successful execution, including managing part development processes and collaborating with the internal CFT team to achieve localization and capacity targets. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and industrializing tooling through the 7 Gate Process - Implementing the 7 Gate development process and ensuring supplier part development readiness - Conducting producibility checks, tracking tools and equipment, and addressing technical problems - Managing capacity planning, coordinating with suppliers, forecasting risks, and providing management reporting and escalation for project-related issues - Supporting new project feasibility, tooling and machine breakdown, capacity enhancement, cost reduction measures, and developing relevant parts for other brands and regions - Having the authority to approve responsible parts for date commitments, tool design, tool relocation, action measures, and evaluation of project activities with escalation to supplier management Qualifications required for this role include knowledge of: - Automotive tooling and manufacturing processes - Latest trends in mold and tool designs, plastic joining, and metal welding technologies - Capacity study, problem-solving, project planning, quality management systems, and a collaborative approach As part of the organization, adherence to equal opportunities and mutual respect principles is expected.
