Job Description

(A) Key Responsibilities:

1. Incoming Material Inspection

  • Perform visual, dimensional, electrical, and functional inspection of incoming materials as per drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect electronics components, PCBs, sensors, connectors, wiring harnesses, electromechanical parts, etc.
  • Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, inspection plans, AQL sampling plans, and supplier certificates.

2. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare Incoming Inspection Reports (IIR) and maintain traceability records.
  • Record non-conformances and create NCR reports.
  • Update inspection data in ERP.
  • Maintain Defect Matrices, SOPs, and Quality Checklists for incoming parts.

3. Supplier Quality Support

  • Provide timely feedback to Supplier Quality team for recurring issues.
  • Participate in supplier evaluations and corrective action discussions if required.
  • Support CAPA implementation for supplier-related issues.

4. Material Handling & Coordination

  • Coordinate with Stores to ensure lot-wise segregation, identification, and traceability of approved materials.
  • Work closely with production to understand field failures or assembly issues related to incoming parts.

5. Quality System Compliance

  • Follow ISO 13485 and internal QMS documentation requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

(B) Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills

  • Diploma / BE in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, sensors, PCBs, and wiring harnesses.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings (GD&T basics preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with vernier, micrometer, multimeter, LCR meter, and other measuring instruments.
  • Basic understanding of ESD handling practices.

Soft Skills

  • Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to work independently during peak workload.
  • Willingness to learn medical device quality standards.

(C) Preferred Experience:

  • 24 years in incoming quality inspection, supplier quality, or electronics QC.
  • Experience in medical devices, automotive electronics, or EMS companies.
  • Exposure to ISO 13485, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, or related quality standards.
