Evaluate supplier
manufacturing capability
, including infrastructure, machinery, manpower, and process controls
Assess supplier readiness related to
process flow, capacity, quality controls, material handling, inspection practices, and traceability
Review
process documentation
, work instructions, inspection records, and control plans
Assess
incoming, in-process, and final inspection
practices
Verify
calibration status of measuring instruments
and basic process monitoring methods
Evaluate
production planning, capacity utilization
Identify
process risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
Capture
objective evidence
(records, photographs, observations)
Prepare
clear and detailed sourcing assessment reports
and send it for the approval.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong understanding of
manufacturing processes
(machining, fabrication, casting, forging, assembly, surface treatments)
Ability to interpret
engineering drawings and technical specifications
Working knowledge of
measuring instruments
(vernier calliper, micrometre, height gauge, etc.)
Ability to review and understand
test reports
(material and mechanical properties, inspection results)
Practical knowledge of
manufacturing quality practices and process controls
Strong
observation, analytical, and problem-identification
skills
Effective communication skills to interact with
supplier management and shop-floor teams
Ability to work
independently in field conditions
with extensive travel.
Proficiency in
documentation, reporting, and assessment record preparation
